Portrait Photography
This workshop covers topics including choosing a subject and location, working with light, using camera settings, and editing final photographs. We will go to our subject’s location, creating different types of portraits and discussing favorite tips and tricks along the way. You’ll be ready to create your own indoor and outdoor portraits in no time!
Communication skills
You will learn communication techniques, which will allow you to get in touch with the subject, not only putting him at ease, but to involve him in the shooting in order to get the most out of the time spent together, and certainly unique shots.

Using the environment
We will go on location to photograph subjects in their environment. We will learn how to approach people you suspect may feel uncomfortable or unaccustomed to being photographed, and how to probe locations to find the best lighting and composition to create beautiful and expressive portraiture.

Editing techniques.
Emiliano will select photographs and discuss why certain exposures work better than others. He’ll share “before and after” examples of different editing techniques and teach you how to soften shadows and brighten highlights without losing the details that are crucial to maintaining a natural-looking image. And how to make each photograph unique in your own style.

Workshop details
February 19th, 2022
– Participants will be asked to report to the predetermined meeting place.
– 2 Model(s) will be available to pose and support participants in and perform different techniques.
– All participants will have time to shoot and relate to models and location in order to better understand the techniques and uses.
February 20th, 2022
– Online meeting via Zoom, discussion of the photo day, review of photographs, selection of best shots and understanding and use of lightroom.
